I preform solo or with the band Broken Arrow. It's a four piece band. Two guitars, bass and drums. I play acoustic guitar, my son Arthur Wolff plays electric lead guitar. We have Mark Hartlob on the bass and Jason Schultz on the drums. We've been playing together for many years. We've had many other people in and out of our band but this core of players have stuck together through thick and thin. There are backup musicians always waiting for a chance to fill in as well. We also perform as a three piece band. Sometimes are schedules conflict with our musical lives and we have to rearrange our band personnel. But we get the job done!
Offering live music anytime anywhere. Below is some links to some of the places I play at:

We can play in any situation. One time we had to set up in a foyer. We have a compact P.A. system that can handle any type of room, or is excellent outside as well.
When you are at an event that's a solo, duet or band performance please ask for our new CD. Lots of times I just give them away just for saying thanks for coming out to a live performance. It's so awesome to see our fans come out over all these years, they are like best friends to me. The CD presently has Neil Young, Bob Dylan and original songs on it. We update the CD from time to time making good use of my son's recording studio. He has updated his equipment often. He tries to keep up using the industries latest technology. He also records for bands and artist mastering albums and demos.
I don't price to play once, I expect to become a regular to provide entertainment for you and your guests time after time. I charge $150 for most solo events. The band pricing is based on how many players we have at the event. Our band normally plays out with four members, we charge $100 a player. If you want to trim your party budget then we can play as a trio or a duet. We keep the same quality of music with any of these arrangements. Sometimes its not a money issue but a space problem. That's when the smaller line up could come into play. Me and my son Arthur can put on a show that can entertain a variety of people from all walks of life. We are constantly updating our song list to include many styles of rock, folk and pop.
I have added new songs to my song list for my solo, duet and trio and the full four piece band. Make sure you check out the song list page to see if you favorites are there. If not contact me with your request and I will make sure that we will have it ready for your event. Also, if you want to prepare a set list ahead of time we will honor it. Just click on the button below for the latest list of songs and pick them from the song list. Put them together in any order you want. As a side note we sometimes put together a special set to tribute Neil Young's music. He was a big influence on me as I was growing up into a musical life. I was in a Neil Young tribute band for over twenty years.
Well, a story that I like to tell from time to time is when I was young maybe 5 or 6 years old I would visit my grandma's house and she would sit me on her knee in her rocking chair and play me old songs on the harmonica. She played all kinds of songs. There is one though that I think was her favorite. A Cock Roach Has Got to Have a Home. It always made me laugh. My uncle lived across the street from her and I ventured over there to visit him but he wasn't home. Well for some reason I wondered into his shed and I found a guitar. I picked it up and kind of tried to play it. I couldn't. A short time after I decided to take a guitar class in seventh grade. One of the first songs I learned was Country Roads. I still play that song at most of my shows to this day.
Rerecorded at the studiowolff studio in crystal lake, original place of recording will be noted below in detail.
This song was recorded at the studiowolff studio for a wedding dance by Doug and Arthur Wolff.
This song was recorded at the studiowolff studio by Doug and Arthur Wolff for a CD that I made to distribute at gigs in 2015. My friend Jay Benet from the band Wilco taught me how to play this song. We were in band together called Wet Pavement.
This song was recorded in 1995 in my basement studio for a cassette tape that I called Dinosaur that I did for selling at my shows. I sold 500 copies that year. This song was inspired be the fact that I was convinced that you can get to the point where you can leave that old baggage behind you and start walking down the road of your life.
This song was recorded at the studiowolff studio by Arthur Wolff for a CD that I made to distribute at gigs and to be used as a demo in 2013 for my Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow.
This song was recorded at the studiowolff studio by Arthur Wolff for a CD that I made to distribute at gigs and to be used as a demo in 2013 for my Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow. My original Band back in 1978ish got its name "Broken Arrow" for this song. It was inspired by the fact that most of our friends were playing and listening to hair metal at the time. My band only played Neil Young songs at parties. This was at a time before Neil was cool.

This song was recorded for a CD that I made to distribute at gigs and to be used as a demo in 2013 for my Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow. A funny story about his song. It was back in 7th grade, I met some guys in guitar class and we formed a band. One of the songs we started playing was Heart of Gold. One time during a practice I started singing some of the words and the whole band stop playing. They said I sound just like Neil Young.
I wrote this song for my old band Vedis in 2000. We recorded it in my old basement studio. I wrote this song because I was thinking about me and my friends in high school and how we would work on cars all the time. Back in those days it seemed like hard wood floors and leather furniture was coming back into vogue.

This song was recorded in 1998 at the Westlane Bowling ally by some college kids who were working on their senor project. It eventually ended up on a CD that we put out called Broken Arrow Live at Westlane bowl.
This song was recorded in 1995 in my basement studio for a cassette tape that I called Dinosaur that I created for selling at my shows. I sold 500 copies that year. What inspired me to write this song was due to the fact that I had read some books by Robert A. Monroe about out of body experiences. The soul living in a physical body which seemed very old like a dinosaur.

Originally I wrote this song for my old band Vedis in 2000. We recorded it in my old basement studio. I rerecorded it in 2003 with my friend Bruce Franklin. We we're performing as a duet calling ourselves Hat and Bandana. We sold it on a CD called Hat and Bandana. I wrote this song thinking about some relationships and what happens when they start going south.

Been playing this song for a long time. One time while playing it a couple got engaged. I decided to record it in the studio. I love the violins my son Arthur added. It is now track 15 on the CD.
Horse With No Name was recorded for a compilation CD. Because of the covid 19 shutdown, a benefit fiesta for Guatemala had been cancelled. In its place the board members decided to send out a CD featuring all the bands originally scheduled to perform at that event.
A Final Choice was recorded in 2000 for a CD for an all original band I had called Vedis.
